Fishing

Hi Folks

I'm sorry about the last post.
I'm just a beginner and not very good at this.
Now that you have arrived here I hope you
find it interesting as time goes on.
The more people use this the better it will be come.
We are looking for such things as maybe jokes about fishing,
and it has to be toned down because it is on the net.
Definitely advice on any aspect of fishing from minnows to Tuna.
You may post articles for sale, and different fishing events
occurring in your area no matter where you are.
I think that covers what I have to say about this so far.
I wish to thank everybody for their posts in advance,
and hope you enjoy this blog.
Please submit constructive comments to upgrade this blog.
We look forward to reading them.

  1. This is my story about the big fishing trip my son in-law made happened for me.

My wife and I had gone out to Yellowknife from Nova Scotia and were to spend two weeks with her son the computer wizard, I describe him like that because fishing is the last thing on his mind. If you have ever been to Yellowknife you know that if you don't live there and you do the tourist thing, in one week you can see a great deal of the city itself just by walking around. I was completely captivated. Places like “Ragged Ass Road” and the real “Mad Dog CafĂ©” These all widened my imagination.

Anyway on Saturday morning in the middle of the two weeks, Paul woke me up at 4:00 in the morning. It was already light out because this was Yellowknife and the sun is up something like 21 or 22 hours out of 24 that time of year.

He made sure we had a good breakfast and then he had a cab pick us up at 6:00 and we went out to the airport. Now I was concerned. It took all the guts I could muster just to fly from Nova Scotia to Paul’s, with five ups and downs, and what he had arranged I wasn’t ready for. I got the idea we were flying somewhere, but in this little bell helicopter, with the glass all around you, and so close to the door. Paul had arranged a full days fishing on a lake, with all the gear, everything from the bait, the rod, the boat, motor and gas, and a five mile lake just full of trout, jack fish, and something called white fish. Like I always dreamed of every fish was a big one.. I fished all day right up to the time the helicopter arrived to pick us up at 8:00 in the evening. I lost count after 75 fish. I had the time of my life. There wasn’t another person on that lake that day. It was so beautiful and clean. I didn’t see one plastic grocery bag or Tim Horton’s cup, although we stop at Tim’s with the cab on the way home from the airport. We fished all along the shore, and when ever we would come upon a stream flowing in or out of the lake we stop and fish that spot with earnest and that is where we got the most fish. It was like heaven. I would spin cast the lure to a spot where I thought there might be a big one and sure enough there was. It was strange, I never caught any fish bigger than 23 inches. The weather was great, very warm and sunny. At one point I took the fish and tied them all together and hung them over the side, so they wouldn’t dry out. I wasn’t paying attention to them because I was having so much fun fishing, the next thing I knew I could see them at the bottom. Thank heavens it wasn’t too deep, only about 6 to 8 feet. I had to put a jig hoot on to fish them out again. All together I had the best fishing trip I ever had, one that I will remember for a long time.
